Former Energy Drink Titan Jack Owoc Splurges on $40 Million Oceanfront Estate in Fort Lauderdale: A Closer Look at the Record-Breaking Purchase

According to public records, Jack Owoc and his wife, Meg Liz Owoc, are now the proud owners of the 12,700-square-foot mansion located at 3052 North Atlantic Boulevard. They acquired this newly constructed residence from David MacNeil, the founder of WeatherTech. The house comes fully furnished, featuring an impressive 100 feet of oceanfront, seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, seven half-bathrooms, and a private pool.

The property was listed by Tim Elmes of Compass, while Austin Baris and Alexander Goldstein of Miles Goldstein Real Estate facilitated the sale.

Earlier this year, Owoc faced a significant change in his professional life as he was removed from his position as CEO of Bang Energy, the energy drink company he established. He had propelled the brand to great heights through an assertive TikTok influencer marketing strategy. In March, Bang’s parent company, Vital Pharmaceuticals, parted ways with Owoc. This decision came five months after the beverage company filed for Chapter 11, as reported by Food Dive. The bankruptcy was the result of a legal battle with Monster Energy, which resulted in a $293 million judgment in favor of Monster, as stated by Reuters. Subsequently, Monster acquired Vital Pharmaceuticals for $362 million in July, according to various reports.

Jack Owoc founded Vital Pharmaceuticals in 1996 and gained recognition for his distinctive, bold style, bodybuilder physique, and the gold chain bearing Bang’s logo. Following the introduction of a few less successful products, he launched Bang Energy in 2012. While the drink’s sales remained relatively steady during most of the 2010s, occupying about 0.5 percent of the energy drink market, in 2019, sales skyrocketed to $1.3 billion, and Bang’s market share surged to 9 percent, as reported by Bloomberg in a profile of Owoc last year. His estimated net worth subsequently reached $3 billion.

Owoc’s TikTok marketing approach had a unique flair, featuring bodybuilders, comedians, and individuals promoting Bang Energy, often with neon-colored cans of the drink, according to Morning Brew. Furthermore, Jack and Meg Liz Owoc have ventured into family influencing, running a YouTube channel named the Owoc Family (formerly the Bang Energy Family). The channel features their five young children and offers tips on pregnancy and breastfeeding from Meg Liz Owoc.

The Owocs have been established residents of Broward County for an extended period. In 2019, Jack Owoc acquired a house in Southwest Ranches for $7.7 million. This residence, constructed in 2017 on 2.4 acres, includes a pool, a theater, and a home gym. The 13,600-square-foot mansion is currently listed by Baris on Realtor.com. The Owocs initially listed the estate for $16.5 million in August but have recently reduced the price to $14.5 million.

In addition to his residential real estate ventures, Owoc has played an active role in Broward County’s commercial real estate sector over the years. In July, he completed the sale of an industrial development site in Pembroke Pines for $59.8 million.
