House hunters from Colombia led international web searches for South Florida real estate in May, closely followed by Germany and Canada, according to a report by the MIAMI Association of REALTORS® (MIAMI).
Potential buyers from 149 countries browsed MiamiRealtors.com, which features three consumer-facing property-search portals, in May. Colombia, a consistent leader in South Florida’s international property market, has ranked among the top two countries searching for Miami real estate for the past 26 months.
“Miami real estate used to rely on different waves from various countries depending on their economic growth,” said 2024 MIAMI Chairman Gus Fonte in a statement. “That’s no longer the case. If one global market slows down, our market still attracts demand from many others. We are seeing interest from home buyers around the world.”
